What do I believe in?

I'm a born again Christian. What does that mean?

I believe there is a God and it is the God who is described in the Bible: a righteous and perfect God who loves every person on this earth and desires to have a relationship with them.

There's a verse in the bible which says 'For God so loved the world He gave His only Son, so whoever believes in Him will not die but have eternal life'. This verse is at the heart of what I believe. Jesus said this of Himself: 'I am the way the truth and the life, no-one comes to the father except through me'. When Jesus died, He died for the sins of the world, I believe He died for all the wrong doings that you, me and everyone else did. According to the bible; 'If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved'! The bible says that Jesus has already come once to this earth on a rescue mission; to provide a way that people can receive forgiveness if the recognise their need, ask for forgiveness and choose to follow His ways described in the bible. However, the bible says that Jesus is coming again and the next time He comes, He will come to judge everyone on the earth and all those who have lived.

Jesus will only welcome and accept those who have followed Himself and will punish all those who have rejected Himself. Do you think that is unfair? Do you think you're good enough to go to heaven? I don't believe that anyone has done enough to deserve to spend forever in God's presence, because everyone has done wrong.

Some people try and put off or ignore this choice that they have in their life, I'd urge you not to.

If you don't realise your need to be forgiven now, I guarantee 100% you will realise your need when you stand before God in judgement! Take this test to see if you're good enough for heaven. The bible says you cannot be forgiven by God for all you have done wrong once you are dead - so you only have the chance to make the decision to receive forgiveness when you're alive. Consider what I've shared and make a decision either way: to follow God or reject your need of Him.
